Team Egg Riders – May 2015

Team Egg Riders and Team Cystic Fibrosis Riders

Team Egg Riders and Team Cystic Fibrosis Riders joined us at Chalet Alice and spent three days riding the best of the local cols.

Day one was a personal route favourite of mine, taking in the Col du Corbier, a lakeside lunch at the beautiful harbour in Evian and a meandering climb back to Morzine via Thonon-les-bains, Vailly and St Jean d’Aulps.

Day two started off in a very relaxed pace with 2 hours of chilling/coffee time with just an hour and of half of riding whilst we enjoyed the stunning cliffs and waterfalls at Sixt-fer-a-cheval … before tackling the Col de Joux Plane. Officially closed as the road has fallen away in a couple of places due to the recent bad weather, we were able to meander up the steep col without concern for any traffic.

Unfortunately, I missed day three, but everyone continued with the same hunger for steep climbs and opted for the Col de Ramaz…. in the blazing sunshine. Some even tacked on the Grimpee d’Avoriaz afterwards for good measure.

The Riders : Andy, Mark, Nigel, Simon, Howard, Dave, Josh and Kieran.
